On March 10, 2010, a joint venture contract was signed between Saigon Newport Company and Sun Cypress Shipping Company Limited (Hong Kong) to establish Tan Cang-Cypress Joint Stock Company. The joint stock company has a capital contribution ratio of the Vietnamese side holding 60% of the charter capital and the foreign side holding 40% of the charter capital.
